Pride of Lincolnshire
We are very proud to live on one of the main flight paths of the Memorial Flight as it visits various communities during the summer months. Today we were out (after watching the Royal wedding) so missed the flight flying to London. However, we went to Tattershall Castle a short distance from the home of the Memorial Flight and were treated to their return after tipping their wings to the local villagers.
Always makes us feel greatful to all those from all countries who paid the ultimate sacrifice for us all.

Oilseed in Manthorpe
The Oilseed is abundant and I have been looking around for the scenes which were around last year - only better.
With crop rotation there are more opportunities for alternative shots. The weather today was more like a summer's day here in England, but there was a smog warning about air quality and (I am not imagining this) there was a certain amount of haze around though the sun was beautifully bright and the day cloudless and hot.
This shot was taken not far from Bourne just outside Manthorpe.

A Loco in Quorn
A shot from Flickr was invited to join the "Dinmore Manor Locomotive Ltd locomotives." I was very pleased, and of course, accepted the invite.
A 'post card' style shot of one of the steam engines at Quorn station in Leicestershire.

Quorn Station
Went for a photo meet at Quorn Station in Leicestershire with my friends on the Olympus Forum (yes I know I'm 'Canon' now, but hey, they didn't mind) We wanted to catch a few diesel and steam trains as they went buy. It's a lovely place and worth a visit on a nice day - like today - especially if you have a Canon 7D or any Olympus camera :)
Here is the 8B11 Diesel coming into Quorn Station
